Monica's Tip on Getting through Required Reading

Great Expectations was a required reading for anyone going into English honors this year. The notorious book actually does have a bit of an interesting story, if you can get past all the words and old English. If you do decide to read it, be sure to listen to it on audiobook while you're doing so. This helps in understanding the novel more.

Thanks, Monica! That tip about listening to a book on audio is an excellent one! There's a big debate over whether you should read the book or see the movie first, but I think that everyone will agree that, especially for a kind of tough read like Dickens, having a great reader making the story come to life is really a big help in getting the most out a book.
